Supervising Attorney for Voting Rights, Disability Rights California
Fred Nisen is the Supervising Attorney for Disability Rights California (DRC), working out of its Oakland office. He coordinates DRC’s voting work and leads a team of attorneys and advocates seeking to improve voting accessibility statewide. He is a Co-Chair of the Secretary of State’s Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) and serves on the local VAAC in at least six counties in the Greater Bay Area. Mr. Nisen is a member of the Future of California Elections (FoCE) and is on the steering committee of Voter’s Choice California, a network sponsored by FoCE, working with counties and community-based organizations to ensure the smooth implementation of the Voter’s Choice Act.
